No experience is necessary to take a fully supervised introductory dive and explore the reef and its amazing marine life. Certified divers can enjoy spectacular dives at our specially selected sites. Age and medical restrictions may apply to diving.

Introductory Diving

Scuba diving is the best way to see the reef and no experience is necessary to take a fully supervised introductory dive. Our professional and experienced PADI instructors will guide you through every aspect of your dive, allowing you to have a relaxed, enjoyable experience.

  • After your introductory dive briefing which takes about 30 minutes, you’ll gear-up and then start your dive experience in the island swimming pool for a skills practice session with your instructor.
  • Now you are ready for your dive adventure!
  • You’ll head down to the beach where you will board our dive tender for a short boat ride, about 7 minutes offshore, to experience scuba diving at one of our four Green Island dive sites.

Certified Diving

If you already have a dive certification, we will provide you with all your scuba gear, and an experienced dive guide to ensure maximum enjoyment, safety and to guide you to the best sites.

  • Proof of certification is required C-card/Log book.

Certified Diving Price (1 Dive): $142.00

Wetsuits and dive gear included.

Dive Schedule

Sessions for introductory divers, certified divers and boat snorkel trips are scheduled daily at 10:30, 13:00 and 14:30.

  • up to 3 dives/snorkel boat trips can be enjoyed
  • 4 dive sites available

Important Information for Divers

  • The minimum age for Scuba Diving is 12 years.
  • Certain medical conditions, medications and height restrictions may preclude some people from participating in optional in-water activities. For advice, contact our reservations team.
  • After a single dive a wait of 12 hours is recommended before ascending to an altitude of 300 meters or greater. If doing multiple dives and interval of 24 hours is suggested.
  • Diving can be a strenuous activity, please use caution and inform our crew of any medical conditions.

What to Bring

  • Swimming costume
  • Lycra suit if you have one (they are available for hire)
  • Beach towel
  • Hat, sunscreen and comfortable shoes
  • Spending money for drinks, souvenirs and optional activities

Terms & Conditions

  • 4 -14 years are classed as children, and under 4 free, i.e. 3 or below.
  • Family fare – maximum of 2 adults and 2 children of the same family. Normal fare applies for additional children. Not applicable with any other discount.
  • All schedules, activities and prices may be varied without notice. Listed fares in Australian dollars include Goods and Services Tax. Prices valid to June 30th 2020.

Locals

  • Locals are classed as residents living between Cooktown and Innisfail
  • Locals ID (drivers licensed with local address, or any document with a local address) much be presented at check-in.
